June 22: A drive and a hike along the coast
Sunday, June 22 was a gorgeous day! The sun came out, the sky was clear, and we headed off for more adventures in the southwest peninsulas. First we had a breathtaking drive through the mountains and over the pass to look at some stunning cliffs.
After the drive we took a long hike/walk along the coast, over the hills, and into the Derrynane National Historic Park. The weather was brilliant, as was the company.
I couldn't stop taking beach pictures; the beach there was so amazing! Too bad it was too cold to swim.
On our walk through the park a little dog began following us (actually, he led the way) and continued for a couple of miles. At the end of our journey a kind lady helped us find the owner who came to pick up the little Jack Russell named, believe it or not, Lassie.
